When you can get your money back, how to ask for it, and how cancelling works.
You can request a full refund on a live program within 7 days of purchase, or up until your cohort's first live session, whichever comes later. Once you have attended any part of a live session, the program is no longer refundable. Community subscriptions are not refundable, but you can cancel at any time to stop all future charges. Refund requests go to support@careerbytecode.net.

This policy applies to everything you can buy from careerbytecode.in. All our programs are delivered as live, instructor-led classes. We do not currently sell self-paced courses or paid digital downloads, so this policy has no clause about downloaded material. If that changes, we will update this page before selling anything of the sort.
You are entitled to a full refund of the fee you paid if you request it within whichever of these is later:
Our cohorts often start several weeks after you book a seat. A flat 7-day window from purchase would close before your first class had even happened, leaving you with no way out of something you had not yet received. The "whichever is later" rule prevents that. If your cohort starts more than 7 days after you buy, your right to a refund runs all the way to the first session.

Your right to a refund ends as soon as either of the following happens:
Attendance means joining a live session, in whole or in part. It is recorded from our session logs.
Community membership subscriptions, including the Students plan, are not refundable. This includes the current billing period and any period already paid for.
Membership gives you immediate and continuous access to the community and to mentoring sessions from the moment it starts, which is why it works differently from a cohort with a fixed start date.
Not refundable is not the same as not cancellable. You can cancel your community membership at any time.
When you cancel:
To cancel, write to support@careerbytecode.net from the email address on your membership. We will confirm the cancellation and the date your access ends.
In these cases the deadlines in section 3 do not apply. Refunds are full and unconditional.

Email is the only channel for refund requests. Requests sent by WhatsApp, social media, or to an instructor are not refund requests and will not start the clock. What matters for the deadlines in section 3 is the date your email reaches us.
We aim to acknowledge within 2 working days and to confirm the outcome within 7 working days.
If something serious has happened, a medical emergency, a bereavement, or a comparable event, write to us even if your window has closed. We will look at it properly and on its merits. We are not obliged to make an exception, and doing so once does not create a precedent or waive this policy.
If you believe you are owed a refund, please contact us first. Raising a chargeback or payment dispute before contacting us tends to be slower for you than simply emailing us, because it hands the decision to a bank rather than to a person who can just say yes.
Where a chargeback is raised on a purchase that this policy does not entitle you to a refund on, we will contest it and provide the payment provider with the relevant purchase and attendance records.
